Installation of Metacity

Install Metacity by running the following commands: 

./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc &&
make &&
make install

Configuration Information

Be sure to backup your current .xinitrc before proceeding. 

cat >> ~/.xinitrc << "EOF"
xterm &
exec metacity
EOF
