imlib2 is a graphics library for fast file loading, saving, rendering and manipulation.

Installation of imlib2

Install imlib2 by running the following commands:

./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-static &&
make

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

make install &&
install -v -m755 -d                        /usr/share/doc/imlib2-1.8.0 &&
install -v -m644    doc/{*.gif,index.html} /usr/share/doc/imlib2-1.8.0

Command Explanations

--disable-static: This switch prevents installation of static versions of the libraries.
